The top points to consider when planning an incentive in London

When it comes to designing the ultimate London programme, we're confident that we can deliver. We know the city inside and out, the best spots, how to create the right tone and atmosphere for your guests and how to make it all just 'work'. Our top areas we consider are;
SEEING BEHIND THE CITY
There’s so much to London that we’d love to share. It may be that there’s a programme of smaller events but we truly believe these should be incredible, memorable experiences which guests will never forget. Designing a programme for all types of guests from exhilarating to cultural to active, we feel is important to ensure that there’s something for everyone. London is packed with exciting opportunities including private breakfast tours of galleries, a tasting within an iconic wine cellar, sunrise yoga at Sky Garden or a speedboat ride on the Thames – the list is endless and we’d love to share more with you.
ICONIC SPACES
Make sure you consider them – it’s what people know about London and really feels very ‘British’. Historic landmark venues make the perfect option for your gala dinner night especially. Dinner surrounded by the towering Raphael cartoons at the V&A, a champagne reception on the Portico Terrace at the National Gallery overlooking Trafalgar Square or sat under the colossal whale at the Natural History Museum has SUCH wow factor.
We have incredible access to these venues and knowledge on how to deliver the best events within the spaces. We can brainstorm the best option for your audience and goals.

THE RIGHT HOTEL
So many hotels in London really celebrate London, it’s culture and traditions. Whilst you know what you’re getting with the bigger chains, and they tick many boxes, we’d urge you to consider beyond these. Staying in British institutions like Claridge’s, The Connaught or the Savoy becomes an experience in itself and feels so special. A hotel should not be somewhere just to rest your head, even if the schedule is jam packed. It should feel like a treat to stay there and a part of the trip that’s aspirational.
GIFTING
It’s so lovely to gift something for people to remember their trip. We love a little mix of high end and fun gifts – a little souvenir keyring (that can double as a gift for the children – even better find out how many children guests have and gift them multiples to avoid squabbles at home).
We tend to avoid gifts like a rucksack or water bottle and opt for items like a gorgeous bone china mug (if you’re staying at Claridge’s this is ideal, they have the best cups) or perhaps a cocktail kit and recipe cards so guests can recreate one of the drinks from during the trip. We feel it’s all about items people will genuinely want and will keep long beyond the trip.

EXCLUSIVE EXPERIENCES
Whether it’s lesser known venues for events such as St Paul’s Cathedral, either on the main floor or in the Crypts, accompanied by a performing choir, or a candlelit concert – give your guests an experience they’ll never forget. We have an amazing black book of performers, bands and artists who will design one off experiences just for your guests, leaving them with an experience they’ll never forget.
THE REAL LONDON
We’re not talking about visiting a London pub, which, whilst fun, can feel a little orchestrated as a large group. We’re talking about getting access to the newest and coolest members bars, restaurant and roof top terraces. There are members bars, hotels and restaurants who actively do not advertise and those are the spaces we can open up for you. They often feel intimate, fun and very cool – where the locals hang out and a wonderfulcontrast to your gala dinner night.
SERVICE
We love hospitality and excellent service is a key part of our delivery at Golborne. Let us look after your guests in the true British way. We assign a host team to your group, giving them a point of contact for the duration, and available on email, phone and in-person. Our team will be totally dedicated to ensuring that everyone has an incredible time and doesn’t have to think about a thing – including the organisers!
