A private, personal celebration celebration in the heart of London

A private celebration at Raffles London, designed around rich blue tones and the architecture of the room. A fully bespoke four course menu, live music throughout the evening and a first-of-its-kind performance from artist Rema with a full orchestra made this a genuine cultural moment.

This private celebration at Raffles London was designed to feel quietly luxurious, layered and full of atmosphere, with rich blue tones setting the scene from the moment guests entered the room. The evening unfolded as a fully bespoke experience, from the styling and menu to a programme of live music that built in scale as the night went on.

The room’s character was central to the design. Floor to ceiling draping was installed in panels rather than full coverage, allowing the architecture to remain visible and shine through. The vintage mirrors were deliberately left uncovered, along with the existing wall lights, so that the room’s original details became part of the ambience. To bring everything together, we added table lamps and taper candles that worked alongside the wall lights and chandeliers, creating a soft, layered glow that felt warm and intimate despite the scale of the space. A stage in blue, touched with a brushed gold edging completed the look, and provided the perfect platform for the acts to come.

The tables were designed with the same approach. A mix of oval and round tables created variety in the room and a more natural flow, with blue velvet on the ovals and champagne velvet on the rounds, adding softness and a lovely contrast. Orchids in gold coupes sat on each table, alongside lamps and candles that continued the warm, glowing light from above and brought a sense of intimacy to every setting.

Guests were welcomed with a champagne reception accompanied by a string quartet, before sitting down to a fully bespoke four course menu with a dinner band playing throughout. The music was designed to carry the evening forward, with each moment shifting the mood and energy.

After dinner, the programme moved onto its centrepiece. A full 28 piece orchestra and a six piece band took to the stage, joined by artist Rema, who performed with an orchestra for the very first time. The performance was fully choreographed, with light and sound designed together to create a seamless and immersive show. It was a true cultural moment, and one that guests will remember long after the evening ended.

The celebration then moved to the Spy Bar for the after party, continuing the night in a more relaxed and playful setting.

Overall, the event brought together thoughtful design, exceptional live entertainment in a way very personal to the guest of honour. A truly special occassion to design and create.
