Planning an event or wedding with a short lead time

Anniversary party at Heckfield Place

How long does it take to plan an event?

Our honest answer is that we can plan with any timeframe. Two months would be our ideal minimum as that then allows enough time for site visits, tastings and floristry sampling meetings but we’ll work with however long we’ve got. We have been known to plan huge events in iconic venues with just over a month’s notice! Where there’s a will, there’s a way and we are very familiar with all the spaces and suppliers we work with as well as having an incredibly strong operational team, so we’re never daunted by a short lead time.

What do I need to consider if I’m planning a wedding or event with a short lead time?

The first and most important thing would be that you know your brief and that you’re prepared to be decisive! There are a lot of decisions when it comes to planning and a huge part of our job is to assess the best options and present you with a shortlist, whether that’s your tableware, your catering partner, your band choice or styling – we condense it all down, however you need to make the final decision. We also need to ensure we can get quick decisions – any printed or bespoke items will have to go into production quickly and so sign offs need to be prompt.

Do you recommend planning a wedding or event with a short lead time?

We actually love a short lead time. Sometimes planning an event or wedding can be overwhelming and having a short lead time cuts out the option for overthinking. We love the buzz of planning an event that’s happening very soon and actually most of our events have a lead time of 6 months or less.

We’re never daunted by a project so please let us know HERE if you’d like to plan an event that’s happening very soon, we promise we’ll be able to deliver it!
