Evergreen season is here

We recently designed this look for an upcoming event. The event was to be hosted within a ballroom in Central London – a sought after, consciously designed space. The venue interiors are an elegant mix of creams, cut glass crystal and deep brown wood. Alone, the ballroom is elegant and inviting but equally makes for a neutral base that requires an elevated design to marry well with the client’s branding.
WINTER INSPIRATION
Inspired by deepening evergreen foliage surrounding us as the season develops, we mixed a palette of greens, natural tones and an grounding base. A pale sage tinted cream makes for a wonderful base against the deep green and the striking black. Within this palette traditional dark wood works perfectly and we’d see this on the legs of furniture, within the panelled walls of the venue itself and in the bronzed bases of the table lamps. To lift the look and to work alongside the cut crystal chandeliers of the venue, a metallic gold – deep in tone was added. This would shine through in the cutlery, the edges of the elegant glassware and the foiling detail on the menus.

LAYERS OF TEXTURE
We’ve added playful touches with the spotted water glass – an unexpected but fun party element. Textures have also added a lovely depth to this look – the pleated lampshade, the panelled bar and the velvet of the lounge seating. In addition florals follow a similar palette and add an organic and wild note to the design – a touch of winter bought indoors.
